10 Jahre später hatte ich die frühere Ungewissheit und Angst als Student längst überwunden und entwarf frei diese Bilder.
Ten years later, as a student, I had long since overcome the uncertainty and fear of the past and freely designed these pictures.
Es ist spannend, Bilder beim Malen zu erfinden. Man trägt Farbe auf dem Malgrund (z. B. Papier) und nach kurzer Zeit ist das Bild da – erstmalig sichtbar, überraschend und dauerhaft, wenn man es nicht durch weiteres Übermalen verändert.
It’s exciting to invent pictures while painting. You paint on the painting surface (eg paper) and after a short while the picture is there – for the first time visible, surprising and permanent, if you do not change it by further painting.
