Pampas In The Air

Pampas In The Air

What it is really , a shot looking up at a clump of pampas grass looking splendid .
Cortaderia selloana is a species of flowering plant in the Poaceae family. It is referred to by the common name pampas grass, and is native to southern South America, including the Pampas region after which it is named.
Getting this shot I was out with the Big Sig ( 150 – 600 ) – a great lens with super results , but these days it’s weight is getting a bit much for the naff shoulders which tipped the decision making about getting the lighter 100 – 400 for walkabout shots . The Big Sig will still be on hand for the tripod or monopod shoots !!
