Santiago Calatrava’s Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe is a part of the Valencia, Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela). More about ths facscinating complex is in the previous post here.
About the museum, from the museum: "This is the great 21st-century science museum for getting to know in a didactic, interactive, and entertaining way everything to do with life, science, and technology. The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum has become a reference point for interactive science. Its main objective is stimulating curiosity and critical thinking and at the same time surprising and amusing the public by its contents from the world of science, technology, and the environment.
The spectacular building designed by Santiago Calatrava contains over 26,000 square metres of exhibitions on current scientific and technical matters. Full interactivity is one of its special features, the motto of which is “Forbidden not to touch, not to feel, not to think”. The method used by the Museum consists of a huge variety of seasonal exhibitions and scientific activities of all kinds to arouse the visitor’s curiosity on new technologies and scientific advancements, so as generate a pleasant learning process in which the visitor always takes an active part and decides where he/she would like to go and what he/she would like to know."

We didn’t enter the buildings of the ciudad. The weather was too nice for it and the centre (the old city) of Valancia was one giant theater due to the Falleria – so no time to dwell too long in the periferie. Due to the (post-)modern ‘flying butresses’ on display here (yes Calatrava was inspired by high gothicism too) there was luckily an inside feel to the outside cafe of the museum (we enjoyed some solo’s there) due to the fact that the café was located between and under the giant ‘flying buttresses’.
