When expressed like that it seems nonsensical to limit your personal growth. It’s worth spending a couple of minutes looking at some of the reasons people use for not asking for help, to see if any of them apply to you:

You might have a fear of rejection – the challenge for you is to figure out how you can give them something back – it could be something as simple as payment or the pleasure of working with and eager student.

You don’t want to look stupid – I hope you agree by now that there’s only one way to look stupid and that’s not to ask for help!

You can’t afford it – there are affordable solutions for just about any challenge that you might face

It’s too hard / you haven’t got time to do the work – is the short term pain of learning really worse than staying stuck for the rest of your life?
